Log

Floretta Williams: Sports bar aren't a usual hangout but, the Flyers are in the playoffs and are playing the Canadians (I'm not taking criticism) and the atmosphere is busy and loud, Floretta is sitting in a booth, staring up at the screens around the bar with a basket of wings right in front of her along with a pitcher of beer. She's got an Old Flyers shirt with the number 88 and a pair of jeans, her hair flashy green and some make up there. (Blush & Face the camera active)

Alex Shaw: Alex doesn't usually come to sports bars to hang out either. She doesn't even realize that there's some kind of important game going on right now. When she comes inside and finds it more crowded than she expected she looks around a little perplexed, clearly out of her element.

Daniel Hawthorne: This sort of bar was not Daniel's usual hang-out in the slightest, but one of his clients had insisted on it so there he was, dressed rather casually to match the setting in jeans and a grey t-shirt with a simple black wrap around his neck. Said client had just departed to the bar to close out his tab for the evening and the young Haunt looked ready to do the same himself, but after spotting the newly-arrived Alex he gave her a small smile and a nod. (Blush and FTC active)

Cian Doyle: Apparently it's the night for Kindred out of their element, because a rather nervous looking Cian makes his way into the place. Dressed sharply in trousers and a loose-fitting shirt, and looking very out of time in comparison to the sports fans all around him, he steps to the side as he gets through the door, scanning the place like he's looking for someone. A second later his phone comes out, and he taps away with a small frown.

Floretta Williams: Flo's beast rattles her mind for just a second as she feels the presence of others in the bar after her attention gets drawn away from the screens. It's not out of place in such an environment so she shout across the room "Hey, Daniel, Alex!" at the same time, she probably draws the other kindreds attention too, inviting them with a gesture, to her booth, easy smile on her lips.

Alex Shaw: There are other vampires here! Alert! Then Alex realizes that most of them are familiar faces, and ones she trusts enough not to need to panic, and the brief moment of concern gives way to a smile. "Daniel!" she says when she recognizes the vampire who entered right behind her. "What brings you here? Want to join Floretta with me?" She gives Cian a curious look, the kind that might invite a hello, but she only gives him a small nod.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel set out a few bills on the table where he had been sitting to cover his own order before moving towards where Alex stood. The greeting from Floretta earned her a small smile before he replied "a meeting" to his fellow Haunt. Or replied as well as he could above the noise of the bar, that is.

Cian Doyle: Flo's Beast makes Cian's uncurl, rising up for just a moment - until she shouts to the two other Kindred. Daniel gets a polite nod as Cian's Beast eases away, and he gives Alex a quiet look over before nodding a hello to her, as well. He takes a few steps toward them, and then looks at his phone again. Whatever the message is, it's clearly unwelcome, because he rolls his eyes and shoves the phone back in his pocket before making his way toward Daniel and Alex with slightly more purpose.

Luci Firth: "EAT SHIT," Roars a woman up at the bar with snow-white hair and a Flyers jersey that's so baggy on her thin frame that it nearly covers her daisy dukes. She pumps her fist with a whoop! when the team scores, slamming it back down onto the bar and nearly spilling her drink in the process. "YOU'RE GARBAGE, PRICE!"

Now, she might be oblivious to all the vampires in the bar -- but some of them may recognize her: Luci Firth. The Spring Court's emissary to Philly's vampire community.

Floretta Williams: Floretta laughs at the loud exclamation of distaste for the Habs' goaltender and woot in the same direction as the woman, before she shove another wing in her mouth scooting over to give space to whomever wants to join her side of the booth. "Come in, I'm just enjoying the game, wouldn't mind some company there."

Alex Shaw: Alex gestures Daniel toward where Floretta is sitting. "I was just nearby and planning to hang out and people watch or something. I have no idea what's going on." She heads over to Floretta's seat. "Who's playing?" she asks as she joins the booth, and she offers Cian a wave as he presumably intercepts at the table. "Hey. I'm Alex."

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel nodded to Cian as he approached, laying claim to one of the seats at the booth. The loud shout from the bar made him flinch, glancing over towards the woman with a small scowl before shaking his head. "Not the Bruins, so don't really care." He replied as loudly as he could manage, giving his fellow Bostonian a small smirk before clearing his throat. This was going to get interesting quickly...

Cian Doyle: "Cian. Pleasure." He both gives Alex and Flo a smile now, and slides into the booth as well. It might be mildly humorous, that both Daniel and Cian flinch at the same time, and give the woman at the bar a very similar Look. But Cian's discomfort at the sudden noise is clearly eased by Daniel's aside, and he smirks right back.

Luci Firth: Oddly enough, the woman at the bar turns verrrrrry slowly on her stool (which rotates) to look over at the crowd of vampires. She's currently got a fried pickle in her mouth - one of the long spears, not the chips - and she quirks a pierced brow before sliding off the stool and slinking up to her full height of 6'3".

"Whassup, suckers?" Cronch. Luci sticks out her tongue and wiggles it - holding the pickle between her fingers like a cigarette.

Floretta Williams: Floretta grins at the people joining in and leans onto the table. "the Flyers are playing the Canadiens." She responds to Alex and then turn to Cian. "I'm Floretta, pleased to meet you." She waves at the newcomer and when she's called a sucker, she tilt her head to the side. "Okay, who might you be?"

Alex Shaw: "Nice to meet you, Cian," Alex says like she means it. "That look really suits you, you know. I guess you probably do, since that would explain why you picked it." She turns to look at the stranger who was yelling at the TV a few moments ago, blinks at her a couple of times, and then smiles. "Apparently hockey," she says. "The Flyers against a Canadian team." She has no idea that the Canadiens are a team.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel gave Luci a curious look as she approached the table, nodding politely after the question. "Evening."

Cian Doyle: "Thank you." Cian inclines his head. He's soft spoken, with the hint of an Irish accent, gives Alex another smile before turning to the newcomer and giving her a polite, but searching, once over. Not leering, just...curious.

Luci Firth: "Oh, duh." Cronch. She continues to wave the pickle around with her free hand. "The name's Luci," she offers to Floretta with a dainty, manicured hand that does not seem like it belongs to someone that was just screaming at a hockey game. "Luci Fir-" There's a pause mid-word when she senses Alex's attempt to Auspex through her mask, and she wags a finger. "That's not very polite of you. I'll have you know, I'm quite naked under here." She waggles her tongue again. "But! I'm a friend - cross my heart and hope to die."

Floretta Williams: Floretta wipes her hands from the chicken wings grease on a napkin before shaking hand with Luci too, a gentle squeeze and smile join the gesture. "Pleasure to meet you Luci." she looks then at the exchange between Alex and her, confused for just a moment, like she's missing something about the interaction there.

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel spared Alex a curious look at the exchange himself but took the offered hand once Floretta was done and shook it firmly. "Daniel. Pleasure."

Alex Shaw: "Lucifer?" Alex asks with a blink. "Oh! Two words, got it." She gestures to a seat and says, "join us if you want to. I think I know some of your friends, but you must be from after my time." Which is wonderfully ambiguous, right? But when she follows that up by saying, "I'm Alex Shaw, it's a pleasure to meet you." That might provide some context, at least if Ari told her about her showing up and swearing back in a couple of months ago.

Cian Doyle: Cian arches an eyebrow at Luci and Alex, and hold a hand out to Luci. "Cian Doyle."

Luci Firth: "Luci Firth," she reaffirms. "Forgive me my silly indulgence. Like many of my kin - and I imagine many of yours as well - I have something of a flair for the dramatic." Or did she mean demonic? She shakes Cian's hand - and he'll notice that hers are cool to the touch. Almost as if she'd forgot to turn on Blush. Or, maybe just has really shitty circulation. Who knows? "Pleasure to meet you, Cian." Beat. "... but I do know an Alex Shaw - our mutual friends mentioned you."

She considers the invite for a moment, scratching at her chin with a sharp, black pinky nail. "Okay - though give me a moment. I must liberate my pickles first." Then she offers a little wave, and turns on her heel - heading back out of earshot, over to the bar to fetch her food and soda.

Floretta Williams: Floretta grins a little bit there and shove yet another wing into her mouth, shameless. "Wonder how she knows any of that." she whispers toward Alex, questioning curiousl "Would it be okay to ask her?" she then turn to the other, with a bit of chicken in her mouth, maybe trying to judge if she's being judged as the weird one out for eating. "Does it bother you if I eat?"

Daniel Hawthorne: "She does seem familiar..." Daniel replied, pulling his phone to type out Seasonals on the screen and show it to his fellow Dragon briefly. "Been a bit, though."

Alex Shaw: "Of course," Alex answers Luci's comment about getting her pickles, and she smiles at the departing Changeling before telling Floretta, more quietly, "You can always ask her, but the answer is because she's Lost." She doesn't do anything to make the capital letter sound audible, so it could just be an adjective. It's also kind of loud, so hearing conversations from the next table over isn't likely. "No, it doesn't bother me if you eat. Go ahead. I'm going to regret it later if I do, but your choices are yours to make."

Cian Doyle: "Lost?" Cian's eyebrow hasn't come down. "I have no problem with you eating, no," he shakes his head at Floretta. "I do hope it's worth it for you."

Luci Firth: "Suck it, Price!" She shouts at the TV again when the Flyers score another goal. "Just suck my motherfuckin' dick - it's all you're good for this game." She cackles, monching another fried pickle with a loud. "Whoooop!"

She sets down her coke and basket of friend goodies before pulling up a chair. "So. What'd I miss?" Beat. "I swear I didn't even like hockey until I moved here, and now I'm yelling crude things at Canadians. What a world, right?"

Floretta Williams: "It's worth it for me, yeah." Floretta grins a little bit and shrug her shoulders. "I'm curious as to how you know all of us so well, I mean, I got a little inkling already." She glance toward Alex. "...but I'm still curious and I might have heard of you and maybe I follow you on Social media too." she seems to remember that on the spot.

Alex Shaw: "Are you sure he sucks dick better than he tends goal? He might not be good for that either." Alex says when Luci gets back over to the table, possibly a more crude set of words than anyone at the table has heard come out of her mouth before. "You missed everyone being curious how you knew we all suck, mostly." She seems to consider how to answer Cian's question and finally says, "one of our neighboring communities."

Daniel Hawthorne: Daniel allowed himself a small smirk at the continued trash-talk, remaining quiet for the moment as the others talked.

Cian Doyle: "Ah." Cian nods, understanding, and eyes Luci with something bordering respect. "I'm quite curious - I know we have ways of learning those sorts of things about others...am I correct that you do, too?"

Luci Firth: "Oh!" Beat. "You do?!" Luci positively beams at Floretta. "Out of curiosity, what do you think of the Prince Albert? My audience seems to love it, but I've been having a discussion about it with my boyfriend - he's a little bit old fashioned, but he's getting there - and he's like "Ugh, but it looks like it hurts, Luci" and. Like. Obviously it hurt, they stabbed my dick with a big fucking needle. We all suffer for the aesthetic."

Then she takes another unceremonious cronch from her fried pickle. If you thought Luci would be embarrassed about something like this, you've got another thing coming. It's only going to get worse! "... but like I said, he'll get used to it - he's just slow about these things sometimes." Beat. "And yeah. Oof. Look at me going on about work." She turns to Cian. "It was a gut feeling that alerted me this evening, but also I'm something of a go-between for our two communities. So. I recognized the gut feeling."

Floretta Williams: Floretta tilts her head to the side a little bit, blinking several times. She then eats another wing. "I have no comment on the Royal Highness or the situation surrounding any ascenscion there." she clear her throat, looking partly amused and partly surprised at the turn of the conversation. "Ah okay, I see gut feeling, good. I get that." She seems eager to move on with the conversation.

Alex Shaw: Alex covers her mouth a moment and laughs at Luci's commentary about her piercing, none of it seeming to bother her at all. "Yeah, that does sound like it would hurt, but his reaction could be worse, I guess?" She pauses, briefly considers Luci, and then asks, "which go-between? If I had to make a guess, a stab in the dark, I'd say a couple of weeks and things will be more officially in other hands?"

Cian Doyle: At this point, Cian's eyebrow is in danger disappearing off his face entirely. "I don't know that I was aware of that sort of arrangement between the communities here - you learn something new every day, I suppose." There's a very diplomatic lack of mention of piercings, but the corner of his mouth does tug up slightly in a smile.

Luci Firth: "Right you are, Alex Shaw." Luci wiggles her pickle (the fried one, ya' nasties) at Alex before tossing the last of it into her mouth, and washing it down with soda. "I'll still be around, for a month or so - because I was out of town and swapped shifts - but it'll be someone else's gig after that."

Floretta Williams: "Ah I see." She pick up another wing. "If you want to grab some of my wings go ahead. I don't mind sharing!" Floretta offers to the intent of Luci. she pick this one apart with her finger as she keeps eating.

Alex Shaw: "That makes sense," Alex says with a grin at Luci. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She looks over at Cian. "A couple of us use to actually be a part of that community," she explains. "I think I know of three of us, off hand? Myself, Esme, and Bee El. Not that those are official contacts, but Luci's community has a few people who are dedicated to that kind of outreach."

Cian Doyle: "It...is a different way of doing things than I've experienced," Cian admits to Alex, though by his tone it doesn't seem like he thinks it's a bad thing. "We tended to keep to ourselves, in Boston. It has been nice to see coordination here, you'll have to pardon my surprise. What drew you to us, if you don't mind me asking?" This last is directed at Luci.

Luci Firth: "Hell yeah," she reaches over into Floretta's basket of food, and yoinks - not a chicken wing - but some of the fried onions that they're on top of. "Oh, well that's easy." She takes a sip. "You can't see it, because I'm wearing a fuck ton of make up right now, but we're actually pretty similar. In terms of biological requirements -- or rather, we were at one point in time -- but now? Mostly it's just because I'm a sucker for hot goths."

She offers a nod to Alex. "Good to meet you, too. Mearcatapa literally will not shut the fuck up about how cool you are -- so it's nice to put a face to the talent." There's no annoyance in the tone - you just get the feeling she's... pretty crass. "... not to say that it isn't also nice to meet the rest of you."

Floretta Williams: "Would you mind exchanging phone numbers, Luci?" She asks pulling her phone, which is out of its case but littered with trans-flag colored unicorns over it. "I feel like some exchange of information might be beneficial in the long run." she looks to Cian. "Yep, it's not perfect mind you, but I wouldn't leave Philly for another city if I had anything to say about it." then back to Alex. "Esme Chevrette or another one?"

Alex Shaw: "Ahhhh," Alex says with a laugh. "He's been talking about me, has he? I'm just glad he's not on the news any more, especially not for something he didn't do." She takes her phone out and checks the time. "I should get going. I was just coming in here to kill a little time before I had to be somewhere, but it's time for me to go if I'm not going to be late. Nice meeting you Luci, Cian. I'll see you soon, Floretta! That's the Esme, yep." She gives everyone a wave and makes her exit.

Cian Doyle: Cian nods and waves to Alex and sits back in his chair. "Similar to us, how?" He sounds curious. "I suppose I should apologize for not living up to the stereotype..." And indeed he doesn't, in his simply cut clothes. No black to speak of, even his leather suspenders are a warm brown.

Luci Firth: "Lates!" Luci calls after Alex as she leaves, chomping another fried pickle. Goddamn I want fried pickles so fuckin bad, now. "I know, it's the worst. How dare you not dress like they do on What We Do In The Shadows." She sticks out her tongue. "Yeah, Flo -- love the phone case by the by -- we can do a number swap."

She makes a grabby hand at Floretta's phone.

Floretta Williams: Floretta hands over the phone and watches Luci handle it, it's already on the contact page. "I'd do a lot for the aesthetic but I got some limits too." she chuckles, running her hand through her green hair. "Thanks, I love it too."

Cian Doyle: "I...am not familiar with that. From context, I'm assuming a television show?" Cian looks mildly confused, though he cracks a smile at the phone. "I don't tend to be one for unicorns, but those I can appreciate."

Luci Firth: Instead of just putting in her contact information into the page, Luci opens up the camera app -- flips to the front facing camera -- and takes a selfie of herself. Making an ahegao face while holding up a peace sign. Like you do. Then and only then does she put her number into the phone, apply the picture, and enter a name: Luci >:)

"It's a silly comedy about Vampires. You should watch it - or maybe you shouldn't, it might be offensive. I don't know, I'm probably being a bad ally, but whatever it's very funny." She hands the phone back to Flo. "Oh, the trans pride colors? Yeah, they're cute."

Floretta Williams: Floretta smiles and nods and she pluck her actual phone case out of her back, which is just a phone case with the color of the trans flag on it. "The unicorns are less obvious, but it's not really a secret I keep anymore." she then take a look at the phone, amused at the picture taken. "Sports bars don't seem like the safest of space most of the times."

Cian Doyle: "I doubt most people here know what it even means..." Cian eyes the room - you know that 'scanning for the most obvious threats' sort of look that starts to become second nature when you're queer. "It flies under the radar more than a rainbow does, in my experience."

Luci Firth: "Oh yeah, of course. It's pretty stealthy - comparatively speaking - but I think you're probably safe considering how much I've yelled about my dick in this bar tonight." She shrugs, finishing off the last of her fried pickles with a frown. "... but I'm over being careful. She wiggles her fingers, showing off those very sharp nails of hers. "... besides, I figure what safer place is there to be trans than around a table of immortal queers?"
