The current Yaroslav, the seventh since the retirement of Gaveston the Unwise, was asked to assume the role. She did not seek it out. It's difficult to make a Mystagogue assume a mantle of temporal power that takes them away from their studies. But the absence of other suitable Mastigos candidates and the need for a Lorekeeper for the Council of the Wise was a compelling enough need that the former Curator set aside her work in the caucus of the Mysterium and took up the mantle of Yaroslav the Wise. She still maintains interactions with the Sikh faith she followed prior to her Awakening, and many of its teachings still color her work. As Curator, she fostered excellent relations with the Children of the Tree, and has become fast friends with Baldur as a consequence of this fact. Her work keeps her in close proximity to the Martyr's Tree, where she can frequently be found, aiding the current Curators in their studies, advising them in their research, and maintaining her personal fascination with the Mysteries it reveals. She has a calm demeanor, and an aloof manner that can sometimes make her seem disinterested in what others have to say. But the incisive nature of her responses make it clear she'd been listening attentively the whole time. There are few in the consilium that would call her kind, simply endlessly pragmatic and goal oriented.
