Activating a Fetish requires spending a point of Essence, or succeeding at a Resolve + Composure roll penalized by the fetish's dot rating.

Approved Fetishes

Bitch's Collar (•)

A fetish often crafted by Iron Masters and Hunter in Darkness that elect to spend time in an Urban Area. It looks like a dog's collar, often decorated with a medal or a ring set in for a leash.

Effect: When the wearer takes their Urhan form, it takes on the physical appearances of a similarly sized dog (Always the same one). It does not affect any statistic of the form.

Action: Reflexive, at the time the shapeshifting occurs.

Duration: Until sunrise.

The Book of Remembrance (••)

The book of remembrance is bound in worn black leather, with only an embossed circle on the cover. Attempts to open it without properly activating the fetish will find only blank pages as if it’s just a fancy journal that has yet to be written in. When properly invoked by one of the people (Uratha or Wolf-Blooded) through either the use of a name, or the words “This story is true” the book will only open to one story.

Effect: The book of Remembrance holds the story of the people, their lives, and their deaths. Far more stories than the book looks like it should be able to hold. When properly invoked, the teller of those stories will find a phantom cast of the person who is the subject of the story juxtaposed over their own features, as if they’re taking part in telling the story of their own life and death. +2 to expression rolls when telling stories from the book.

Action: Reflexive.

Duration: Scene.

Devourer's Maw (•••)

The Devourer's Maw looks a little bit like a set of jagged steel dentures, but is designed to be slotted into the mouth over the wearer's own teeth, where it melds with them until removed.

Effect: Devouring the flesh of a spirit via the Sacred Hunt or taking Essence from a Locus while wearing the Devourer's Maw protects the wearer from corruption or influence from the Essence they receive, treating it as neutral.

Action: Reflexive.

Duration: Scene.

Chernobyl Bubble (•••)

Lodge of Night werewolves make good use of this fetish, which was originally created by a member helping clean up the Wound created in Russia in 1986, a work which has yet to be completed.

Effect: By spending 1 Essence, a Lodge of Night wolf with the Breath Of Air Elemental facet may, instead of Influence (Air), create a 'second skin' of air around herself. This thin bubble is imperceptible by mundane means, though Mages with Forces or Matter (for example) may perceive the air around her moving strangely via active effects. This slender bubble protects the Uratha from all Environmental Tilts involving radiation, airborne poisons or chemicals, or the like. It also keeps her dry in a rainstorm, but other Lodge members witnessing such shenanigans may frown upon such casual use of the Fetish.

Action: Reflexive.

Duration: Scene.

Moon-Haze's Girding (••••)

A type of tattoo design borne upon a Blood Talon's torso and upper arms, usually consisting of runes detailing the bearer's deeds of Glory. Upon activation, the bearer is cloaked in hazy moonlight.

Effect: When used, the Talon activates the Berserker's Might facet of the Gift of Rage once more in a turn. Consequently, if the Talon is in Basu-Im, she may use Berserker's Might once more in a turn at no cost.

Action: Reflexive.

Duration: One turn.

The Seeing Eye (••••)

An innocuous bit of translucent beach glass strung into a leather cord. The glass becomes fully transparent when activated.

Effect: Grants the use of Influence 4 (Information).

Action: Reflexive.

Duration: Scene.

Skin Sheath (• to •••••)

A scar or tattoo fetish with a spirit within, the Skin Sheath can hold a single object of a size up to its dot rating. When it does it changes appearance to mirror the object in question. When empty it becomes a plain circle.

Effect: Upon activation the fetish can either absorb an object up to its rating or size, or release it in a smoky shadow.

Action: Instant to sheathe; reflexive to draw.

Duration: Scene.

Relay (•••••)

This fetish is a simple tattoo of a pigeon behind the ear.

Effect: Relay is largely used as a messenger, relaying information to it’s intended target without regard to range. It bears no language restrictions acting more as a mimic than actually understanding the message it’s relaying. Due to this, it is unable to expand or answer questions, but can bring a response back with it.
In addition, when the fetish isn’t relaying a message, with a successful Wits + Occult roll, it can translate any non-supernatural language its wielder is exposed to, spoken or written, for the duration of the scene.

Action: Reflexive.

Duration: Scene.

Thekhathalim (•••••)

Thekhathalim is a Fetish weapon which appears as a war club and is somewhat known for once being wielded by Askskathim, an Elder Storm Lord.

Effect: When the bearer of Thekhathalim uses it in combat, they may convert any damage dealt (at a maximum of the bearer's Primal Urge) into Essence removed from the target instead (if the target does not have Essence, it instead removes Willpower, and if the target has neither, it has no effect). Then, for each point removed from the target, the bearer gains that much Essence. Essence gained this way cannot go above the maximum Essence pool of the bearer. Additionally, after being activated for the scene, the first successful attack inflicts the Demoralized Condition on the target.

Action: Reflexive.
