For most of her life, Yael lived with the responsibility of her family's Vow. A Hereditary Avowed, she spent her life from 15 to 33 stepping in to her aunt's place when she died in childbirth. When her cousin, who was supposed to take over for her aunt eventually, came of age, Yael was freed of her obligation.
She went on a road trip across the country the next day and entered her Mystery Play almost immediately, and she's got theories on why that happened. Whyever it did, she shed the responsibilities that her Fae-Touched life put on her and is really determined not to take on a drop of obligation towards other people again.
But she's an Acanthus, so let's see how long that lasts.

Obsessive planners find themselves struggling, however - they seem to lose notes, their appointment calendars get erased or lost.
